I also got stuck in the same problem and found a work around. Pay rent to yourself via CRED. That worked for me.

I couldn't find it. Anyways, I am off cred. Good riddance

PAYTM Payments Bank essentially asked to shut shop. 

Afaik here are the few implications
1. Stock market will react in a bad way to them
2. Worst affected are going to be FasTag users who bought from PayTM.
3. No deposits / credits allowed in any account. Withdrawal is allowed. 
4. UPI not allowed after Feb

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), a special unit of the Reserve Bank of India, plans to extend the deadline for introducing a 30% cap on the market share of individual UPI ecosystem participants, the sources said. 

The NPCI had initially planned to enforce the market share cap in January 2021, but postponed the deadline to January 1, 2025. TechCrunch had previously reported that the regulator was moving towards extending the deadline further after concluding that there is no practical solution to address the issue.

I've been trying to login to the NPS portal via both web and mobile app to contribute to save taxes, but this is really the most pathetic portal I've ever seen.

On the web app it says 'Entered and Computed Captcha incorrect' god-damn everytime.

On the mobile app, the payment screen doesn't load.

How are you guys contributing to NPS? Is there any other way apart from the portal? 

One of my friends does contribute to it via ET Money. But I'm not sure if it's safe to do via a private company. What if ET Money dissolves? Does my money get affected too?

 Interested to know what you guys are doing.

- Currently, UPI uses a PIN as the second-factor authentication, similar to OTP for card payments.
- Biometric authentication would allow users to use fingerprints on Android and face ID on iPhones instead of a PIN.
- This move follows RBI's proposal for banks to explore alternative payment authentication methods to reduce financial frauds.
- Device binding through SMS remains the primary factor authentication for UPI.
