What do you feel when you pray?
What are your thoughts on god?
Yeah!
People are conditioned to believe and punished when asked right questions.
Earlier all religious festivals was agricultural events according to season.
Now all religious festivals create more pollution than normal days

I used to be an atheist (kind of) but my perspective changed a lot. I feel at peace whenever I am at a temple and get teary eyed. There's some energy that is unexplainable. You just feel it.

Yeah thats 100% true.
nobody is going to solve problems. We are our own god for problem or struggles solving.
Point of discussion is what do you think when you are in-front of temple or in temple ?
Why to feel anything special when in front of temple? If the temple is crowded, I actually feel irritated and troubled. And if the temple is having animal sacrifice with blood around, I feel like puking inside temple only. So the temple is as good as just any other place. If a temple is quiet, less crowded, serene, with intermittent bell sound, then that is just like a natural place providing calmness with some background musical sound.

I personally don't believe in the existence of one.
What is more worrisome: that there is no God or that there is a God who has abandoned us?
We are our own God. God is inside us, as part of our existence. God is only as good, as capable as us individually. Nothing external is there to play any magic.

Surely Exists, there has to be someone behind the creation around us - birth, death, air, water, fire, gravity, planets, galaxy, sun, soul.

Oh sorry, I think I opened the wrong app...
In 20s i stopped believing in God because I thought he was not listening to me. Now the thought process has changed and spirituality to me is a way to stay calmer. I believe there is a higher power indeed. He does not function the way we want him to. He functions the way it's better for us! Probably age mellowed me down.
Although I don't believe in God being strict on us. He loves us all equally and does what's best for us.
Don’t believe in God. Still whenever I get to pray, just wish happiness for my family.
I was once a non believer ,but after facing so many instances I would say now that God Exists .
I pray for good health , prosperity and wealth . I ask God to help us strength to face any problems .
I feel happiness when prayed , secure and blessed feeling .
God is just an imaginary being. No point of praying. Stupid for students of science to pray to God. In scientific terms, God can be termed just a source of all the power.
Even if you believe, since God exists inside all of us, so what is the point of idol worshipping- praying to something built outside of living bodies! Better pray to human lives, change some human lives, help a kid get food, or get education etc, that is much better way of praying. Imagine that, you are literally praying to the God inside another human being. That is real act of “praying”.
And if God as explained in most religious texts really exist/s, why do many times innocents die, and why do innocents like small kids, made to suffer by some random calamities or death of parents? So all this prevalent conceptions around God, specially the act of praying, traditions etc, are just superstitious things.
The moment people go weak, they start praying God God God, because it is always better to have something/somebody to hold on to, just a psychological thing. OR, those who are psychologically brainwashed into believing so, they do follow the customs of praying… If you observe your parents doing something religiously since childhood, obviously you too will learn doing that…
Anyway, hope that imaginary supreme power inside everyone, keeps giving enough strength to scale higher heights…
Fortunate to be part of this religion where we have so much to learn from.
For non believers I would like to say think about the idols as point to focus your positive energy on.
Don't feel a thing. To each his own though, happy to accompany other people to a place of worship. Appreciate the architecture though 😄

One of the core pillars of life just like family and marriage. I understood it all too late in life being all atheistic in my early days. I wish someone explained my religion better to me with the meanings behind rituals when I was younger.
