What do you guys look out for when getting a house
I have been considering getting a house. For house owners or potential house owners, what factors and issues you look out for when you are/were buying?

Personally, I should own roof and floor. Then only it's 'my house/home'.
I feel you bud. Nowadays Roof belongs to someone and floor to someone else
I read your comment after posting mine. You summarised my comment in one line ....
It's not a construction company , it's a marketing company , they just give their brand name to the shittest builders of Bangalore . The quality is so bad that within a year it looks like 10 year old building. People posted their flat videos on YouTube where celing plaster was falling, They are expert in marketing they get those deleted ver soon
Just search for reviews on mouthshut u will see many horror stories
I forgot to mention , u have to get interior done from them only (they have cunningly inserted this line in agreement)
Buy a house where you can live comfortably. Don't go for luxury or designer houses. The EMI should be around 25% of your monthly income but not more than that. I have seen people buying costly flats of crore+ and unable to save money for living, travelling or hotelling. Your hard-earned money should not go only for paying interest to banks. You should be able to spend money for yearly trips, weekend pizzas and other joys in life.
I know a person, who paid 90K in EMIs and lost his job. In 6 months he had to sell his flat and move to rented one. My suggestion - IT jobs are not permanent, save money, don't run after luxury.

never buy a under construction property. Buy a property that's atleast 3yrs old. You will come to know about the problems that are there in the building. It will cost you a premium but you will have peace of mind.
Whichever builder u choose it should be A khata only
Also better to look his previous projects which are like 5 year old to get the quality idea
Trust me house is a huge investment so be double sure on quality else the mental pain is too much of staying in a shaddy house and u cant resell as well because the quality will be visible after 5 years so it will be huge loss
