What happened to all Bharat focussed startups like Sharechat, Khatabook, OK Credit, Dukaan, Bikayi, Moj? Is the sector dead?
Over estimated Indian small merchant. They don't pay a Penny extra to even their families.

Sector is not dead but money is. CXOs have enjoyed lots of lavish life thanks to stupid investors who never saw their money getting wasted

Bharat Focussed startups are a scam. Tier-2, tier-3 and lower cities are reimagined as dehaatis who would like to pay money for shit not really useful. Dehaatis on the other hand are obsessed with foren shit and would be personally insulted if you try to scam them with low effort startup.

maybe we should call it “dehaati tech”
DehaaTech should be a new buzzword that I will get permanently cancelled for by TISS chudails.

Doesn’t Koo belong to that list as well ? 😁
Sector should be renamed as Bharat scammers these guys brought nothing to the table. They did not innovate for sustained revenue. They just followed the typical burn cash for growth which as we know does not work with Indian consumers with lower purchase power compared to western counterparts

Khatabook, Dukaan have good PR and bad business. They seem to be slowly dying. They do not have moat or consumers who can pay or users who stick with them

Devalued startups. How are you doing?
Probably, there is no VC-funded unicorn in India that is likely to stand the test of its private valuation in a public market
