If your company has a some budget, attend conferences like ICML, ICRA, NeurIPS, etc. These are the by far the best places to meet top engineering talent and hire. Another easy way to filter candidates is using the publications record.  
  
 ML has a lot of pretenders, and people with very little knowledge or credentials claim that they are experts 🙄

I am a graduate from Tier 1 college with 1YOE in Data science at a big MNC.

Been trying to switch to AI or Quant roles. Applied at dozens of places. But not getting a single call back for an interview. I have used referrals from friends for most applications but still no response.

I want to know about pros and cons of going into a consulting company from a product based company.  I felt my learning was very slow in the Product based company and hence thinking of joining a startup. Right now I have an offer from IT consulting startup in the domain of AI, Blockchain, Cloud Applications. What can you tell me about this? I looked on LinkedIn but there are not enough employees (250 only) , so unable to get opinions. Most of them are 1-3 yrs experience and joined right out of college. So their views are not helping much.

A lot of noise around AI taking coding jobs, which i fear might be real. Like not completely but you get my point. So how should one upskill themselves (especially the average folks, top 1/2% will not be affected in any field imo) for the upcoming shift? What's the best way to apply for jobs. LinkedIn, company portal or websites such as Naukri, indeed, TopHire etc.

Folks who got multiple interview calls, can you share how you utilised all these to get there!
Will cold mailing managers or HRs in linkedIn work? It feels clueless at times as I am not getting interview calls at all.

I've been curious about whether there are any good Indian startups in the AI field that are not building "tools" like meeting summary or anything of that sort. But more like research based such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Midjourney, etc.
