What is a great achievement
Although a student, I'm an SDE at a startup building its mvp. I have my farewell due this Monday and was selected by my professors to give farewell speech to my entire engineering batch. Got my leave for Monday rejected with word for word "Speeches are followed by great achievements, you're just starting in life. Let's work. From office" Felt a small blow. I've been consistently in top 10 of my branch, have worked on amateur rocket designs, inter college hackathons, built apps for college so much more. I haven't replied to that yet idk what to say.
Lol just take a holiday if you’re building the MVP the founder needs you. It’s upto you tho you can do it :). Also was it done by HR by any chance could be feeling jealous/ insecure

The founder rejected that not the HR, so..
Ask him nicely on mail and tell him you want to make your parents proud etc. He’ll oblige be good and respectful to him.

I missed my college farewell because some random HR didn't approve my leave. It still hurts. Har koi cutting edge technology pe hi kaam kar rha hai yaha pe. College life ab dobara nahi aayegi. Job dusri mil jayegi. Lele chutti. Make a statement.
