Usually they ask for anything btw 6-10 yrs of experience. I know that is too broad but thats what I have observed

Why is it that the salaries for folks working in digital/ performance marketing/ growth roles way lower than tech/product roles? In most startups the mktg team is lean and impact per employee is high. Yet there is a huge discrepancy in the salaries.
Can someone share their thoughts on this ?
(Ps: not talking about the smo/seo people you see on LinkedIn)

I am on the lookout for a Sales role (startups). Have 15+ YOE working for Hotel chains in the past and then transitioned into Startups ( 3 large unicorns) and have been on both B2B and B2C as well. Now working in a bootstrapped startup (profitable). Reason for leaving, company is great and is into Media (advertising). I look after their Business for one of the verticals, but since 12 years they havent set processes here in this place and now they have though of pivoting, but the people who have been here since inception are only used to one way of working and changing certain peoples mindset is becoming a challenge.

How is job market for Digital Marketing and growth for B2C.  Most of the interest first or mobile first companies are not hiring or hiring at very less exp. and pay.

Can see opening for B2B or product marketing but nothing much from Growth or Performance marketing.

Read there are many who have been laid off some more than 6-8 months but still struggling to find the right opportunity.

Also many senior level guys, on LinkedIn have got into consulting or Fractional CMO roles as they package might be high and no one is in need of such experienced senior ppl team. 

How or when this will change ? 

During 2018 or even 2020 many said Digital or growth marketing will be the future, demand will increase as all business, users go online.. but now seems to be other way round..

Are Digital Marketers finding Job ?

How is a B2B marketer’s role different from a B2C or consumer tech marketing role?
