A very key part is the cold email/connect. At early stage, they heavily care about trust and referrals
The interviews typically involve chats with all business founders, some function heads (in few cases) and involve discussions around your experience, your knowledge of the space, and often involve cases that are very specific to what the startup does (improving a business, launching a new business, etc etc )
