What is your opinion on take home assignments
I've been asked to do a take home coding assignment and submit within 3 days, what are some things I should consider before submitting, and are they really worth it? My interviewer hinted they place a lot of importance on it
Depends on what kind of assignment it is. If it's a full stack project or something, you can even put that in your "personal projects list" regardless of interview result. This will build a portfolio, and can be used in place of other org's tests.
I call it the do our work for free assignments especially for smaller firms

Dont do it.. they may be trying a get a jpb dobe thru thus for free. Give them a hint onbhow to approach the issue. Is it a start up?. Sab phokat mein chaiye innko... even if you do it. They may still not hire you. So risk reward is not in your favour.
I don’t mind if I am desperate. Otherwise it feels unpaid labour if I have better opportunities
