If i landed a any offer so how smarty i can move to take it forward - Incident happened with my acquaintance - Once HR Called my acquaintance so acquaintance discussed CTC only and Joined the Company but after 1 Month HR Called for Offer Letter Collection so my acquaintance shocked because there were 3 months Notice Period So is there any Steps like HR Called- First Rough CTC Discussion - Ask for Company Agreement & T&C Etc Please mention your experience. I got offer from capgemini. They told to download the offer letter from the portal link which they have provided. I don't find the logo of capgemini on the offer letter is the offer genuine? So, I am looking for senior level jobs and usually referall /direct connects have worked better. But today I had to upload my resume on shine.com 'cuz the opening on linkedin, redirected me there. Within an hour I got a call from an agency called evolution planner and what seemed like a young boy in an animated voice asking if am looking out etc. What spiked my curiosity was him asking if am looking outside India, which is not usual opening question. Now its usual for consultants to call so it was sll okay till he said there will be a small fees. Now again, I know of senior folks who deploy headhunters and I was like maybe these people have got my profile from somewhere and are looking to source business from me. I wouldn't have paid but I entertained to see where this is going. He said Microsoft, Oracle etc have shortlisted me. Funny given I have worked in startups in marketing ( and not even tech ) so don't knw whats the skillset match. Anyway he told me to create an account and my final red flag was when he said site name like www Dot..lol who says it like that. I cut the call pretending am getting another call and he can call me later. He asked me to confirm since he will have to hold the client for me. Lol It's happened with me for the 1st time and unfortunately searching this company name doesn't throw any negative reviews either. But this is a scam,right ? Also since when did google start recruiting like this. Have you heard of this company? Also have you had such experiences.?

Hello Grapeviners, What is with Indian recruiters wanting to know your CTC as the very first step of hiring? And when asked to share the ctc range in which the role falls, they refuse to share. So basically they just want to lowball candidates based on their current CTC and parity is a joke? Now If a recruiter denies sharing the range for the role and insists on knowing my CTC, I run! What are your thoughts?

Corporate catfishing? More companies are posting realistic job listings that don't exist. Companies doing this are trying to trick employees into thinking the company is growing and that they are hiring more workers to alleviate their workload. This is not only manipulative, but immoral. If you want to increase productivity and alleviate stress in your office, start by showing appreciation for your employees and encouraging them. Share some companies you might know that have been doing this.

Attended an interview for a startup where they said all was okay and agreed to rollout the offer letter and last minute told hiring freeze. This is for an entry level role. Cannot name the company as I can get identified. Fintech startup. Their payscales in glassdoor were showing high base for entry level roles in Business Operations. How do we make sure that recruiter does not ghost us . What are the strategies we can use to get the offer. These days, every recruiter in first call itself asking about salary expectations.

I am seeing lots of jobs post on LinkedIn from various companies and when u apply to them there is no call back or any update from them. I am now like confused if those post are even true or not? Anyone face/observe this

Hi all , so today I revieved a mail from certain person saying that he will get me placed in a company for 60000 rs of 10 installments . The company is pretty famous and the salary is slightly above the witch average salary. But the catch is that I have to pay a initial amount of 4k . Yes it's pretty sketchy but my college mates were placed in MBRDI package was 10 lpa but they paid 1.2 l total . He did get placed. I need advice please
