What would make Grapevine more helpful?
Good folks of Grapevine, I’m actively thinking of things we could do to make the community more helpful. Being helpful for working professionals (in work & life) is our reason to exist. Want to make sure we stay true to it over the course. Some things that are top of mind for me basis recent interactions: Better Referral Matching, Better Matching for Questions (ensuring right people view the question and can answer). Can you folks help with more ideas & suggestions? Something that you would have done if you were running Grapevine? Thanks in advance, look forward to your thoughts :)
implement a “not interested” button for posts that doesn’t align with user’s interests. i would love to use this app more but my feed is mostly just irrelevant stuff that i can’t get rid of.
Very fair
Currently the only option to choose content is to subscribe/unsubscribe from communities
But that doesn’t solve this
Shared this with our team, and will make sure we do something here!
Thank you.

Make use of grapes. Coz the app is totally based on that which at the end results nothing makes no sense
We currently do use grapes to give people early access to products eg news
But definitely, currently grapes exist only to show that a user is a valuable contributor to the community
Over time, we’ll think of how more grapes can mean more access/perks for people :)
1. A community of developers discussing engineering related stuff based on their knowledge or discussion about the RnD they did.
Like making a RF robot.
2. Mobile phones and laptops reviews community.
3. Page about government policies and their growth focus. Example Atal pension Yojana. Semiconductor. So on...
1. This was the goal with the software engineering community originally. I think this needs a community which is more specific, and follows strict rules for only relevant posts. I'll add this to tasks!
2. Gadgets & Apps exists for this use case. Let's ramp it up? :)
3. Interesting. Would want this without unnecessary political debates. Lemme deliberate on this.
Thanks so much for adding these!

Downvoting. Some come on this platform with an agenda of spreading insensitive posts aimed at farming for grapes by stirring up controversy. Having a downvote would have the community actively participate in suppressing such nonsense
We'd gotten it in, then missed it in redesigns and never took it into account to manage feeds better 🫣
Adding it to to-dos. Thanks boss.

1.. Don't allow posting one post to more than one community.
2.. Allow to unfollow a post, i.e the post/comment i don't want any notification from.
Hmm the spamming does happen quite often
People also make minor change before posting again.
We currently comb recent and remove duplicates. I’ll make sure at least the logic for duplicates is made (minor changes we’ll do manually I guess)
On 2:
Is this unfollow after you follow a post?
That does work… or is this something else?
