What's the best way to create an MVP in the shortest possible time? Need a barebones one that can just deliver content to sign-ups to start with. I'm not a coder but I can experiment with AI tools to make something basic.

I am looking for a plug-and-play solution to build an MVP of an app. I need the MVP ready within 2 weeks, even if it lacks extensive backend functionality and uses pre-fed dummy data.

A bit about the app: it takes input from users, saves it, learns from it, and suggests solutions based on the input. The MVP doesn't need to have a paywall or a fully-fledged backend.

Please keep in mind that I do not extensively code, but occasionally work with python and R.

I am creating a software solution (mobile app+web app) which can help a small group of any and friends group to create a workspace(similar to slack) and then create events and they will be able to create tasks for those events and can also chat with people in the same workspace.

I had an argument with an investor/founder yesterday, and he went on a rant about the quick MVP ideology. Many entrepreneurs and product managers believe that launching a product quickly with a barebones minimum viable product (MVP) is the key to success. However, I think that in 2023, this approach is outdated and ineffective.

A minimal viable product (MVP) with barebones features is designed to be used by early adopters, providing essential functionalities to test the product concept and gather market feedback quickly.

However, I disagree with this approach. I believe that in 2023, a barebones MVP falls short. Here are two reasons why:

Customers are concerned about the app's look and feel. If you are enhancing an existing product, you must deliver a superior user experience compared to your competitors. A barebones MVP may not meet customer expectations and preferences, potentially creating a negative impression that drives them away.

Early traction does not guarantee product-market fit. While a barebones MVP may attract initial users, it doesn't ensure that they will remain or pay for your product. Relying on early success may provide a false sense of validation and confidence in your product's efficacy, potentially causing you to overlook the genuine problems or needs of your customers.

In conclusion, a barebones MVP is not enough in 2023. If you want to build a successful product, you need to build a polished product that delivers value and delight to your customers. This is not easy, but it is worth it.

I've a great idea and it's validated after talking to more than 50 founders/head of sales.

1. What's the process of getting a domain/and checking if the domain/product name is not a brand name globally anywhere?

2. Wrt raising funding, any founders here who can throw some light on how much salaries you used to take? I am not very inclined towards bootstrapping rn.

3. What were the challenges wrt starting your website, getting it validated by running ads etc? Maybe some D2C founders can help me out here.

I am starting a non-profit startup that aims to help people around the world quit any of their bad habits or harmful addictions in the most natural and habitual manner. This is my very first startup so I need advice on what I should do in the initial days and what to avoid.

The MVP is ready which is a discord community and it's fully customized [I also got a few moderators to manage it] and there's also a landing page that I can share with my audience so they can get more information as well as find it trustworthy instead of just a spam link.

Now; the next step is to promote it online to get audience so should I take some expert help or use related communities to spread the word?

Need help with my first startup

Acquiring funding for a startup in india has become a hassle. I myself have been doing research on seed funding Vc's and angel investors. All they ask is pitch deck and LinkedIn profile. Which they don't even go through and just reply with an email saying we are not eligible for funding. On the other side US and other countries are getting funding at the ideation stage. I guess we can't even go for crowdfunding. Started building MVP, but halfway through the hurdle and unable to resume the development due to limited resources.

I have an MVP version of a startup idea. No revenue yet. Someone is keen to angel invest. How does this work? Can someone answer these questions for me?

- If suppose Person X puts in 50L, how do I value my company and thereby equity? 
- How do I authorise and distribute shares?
- Someone mentioned I should do a SAFE - can someone explain how'd that work and would that be a better option than choosing a random number
- If I give 20% of company for 50L, how does that change if I raise a future round? Do I issue additional shares?

I’ve had this idea for a SaaS since the last 2 years and I’ve been passively trying to build it into existence but no luck. I tried pitching the idea to few VCs and mentors, all of them seemed to validate it for potential. But again, these are people I know personally and unless they have their skin in the game, can’t take their praises to anything tangible in the absence of constructive criticism. Same case with friends who I talk to - everyone likes the idea, but doesn’t want to build it. The idea doesn’t seem interesting enough for them to consider building it even as a side project. Mostly I believe this is because the product targets an industry where there’s sufficient tech involved - yet very less techies who are building for the space. I’ve personally had experience tinkering with development, but haven’t built anything tangible to fruition ever from scratch. This idea has been around my whiteboard for over 2 years - seems like a super obvious idea for a much needed demand. Back then I thought someone would build it before me and kept seeking professionals for help, especially with no-code and AI code tools. Yet, nobody has seemed to move a needle and the space is largely under one monopoly (startup). I want to take it up as a challenge and build it on my own as a side project and see where it goes. Maybe if nobody has built it in 2 years, nobody probably will in the next year either. That’s good enough time for me to acquire my initial set of users. I badly want to build it bootstrapped, but I know that’s a far fetched dream especially given my lack of technical expertise. Hopefully within 6 months, I should have an MVP - that might attract potential cofounders or investors. Wish me luck, folks! 🤞🏽
