How is the market responding to students having btech in Data Science, Business and Economics?

I have interviewed many students to hire within my team who come with data science in btech. I must say they're being looted by creating some hype course. They don't even know basic math forget about data science. Can't write any code without chatgpt. Edtech also sucks. Collecting 2L per course but taught by inexperienced staff where the content is created by some experts

I'm a tier 3 bba undergrad in my last semester. 💀 I'm technically sound and have built projects but on paper I'll just another unemployed guy by the end of year. Good luck to you, plashka uni looks good from what I can see on their site so yeah best of luck man.

I can forgive people for marketing BTech in data science. B Tech in Business and Economics? Why is that bundled with data science? Whoever came up with the idea, go to narak. Market is closed to such people. Prefer degree in computer science and masters in data science or strong work exp.

Currently in my 7th semester of engineering ( information technology). I'm really interested in starting a career in data science and could use some advice.I have a basic understanding of Python and pandas, some machine learning concepts, and we've covered basic SQL in our academic syllabus. I spoke to an experienced guy in the IT sector who has worked in many FinTech firms and consulting companies. He said when the data science hype started several years back, companies started getting funds from venture capitalists to set up data science wings . Companies went on a hiring spree with this money to hire data science professionals. However, as the years passed, these data science departments failed to generate revenue as expected. Also, some aspects of data science will very likely be automated.
