There is a saying "Dress like you are already the person you want to be" , so with that there is no right or wrong answer to this.
If you have flexibility, your attire should be the one that instills confidence in you and makes you feel well represented.
For me personally, it has always been playing with monochromes with plain shirts and blue jeans/trousers with some amazing shoes and a strong statement watch to go with.
I like to keep it modernly elegant yet functional that I can whip up anywhere in an attire post work. So you do you man, dress with what makes you feel happy and confident :)
