What is the most exciting fintech innovation you've seen in India recently?

Folks, want to understand why there is so much chaos in fintech in indian startup ecosystem. I don't find one single company with well defined processes or SOP's 

Companies claim to have tall valuations as big as established conglomerates but when it comes to process or SOP's they're not even a % of it.

Has anyone else also faced and realised it? These cos have minds from all top both places yet can't setup processes makes it little unbelievable.

I have recently got laid off from one of the Fintech firms. They have been silently letting off people since last year but the no. Of employees let go have been higher in the past 2-3 months. They have downsized by more than 100 people in the last 8-10 months to avoid PR disaster. Not naming the company but just wanted to know if this is right way to do it both from employee and employer perspective.

What's future of fintech in India? At the end of day everyone is eyeing lending as a segment but underwriting using new criteria for serving undeserved market itself looks non sustainable due to risk of defaults. Add regulatory interventions makes things more complex. Do you guys see any new area emerging or any untapped/undertapped segments

Does this affect the stable money value prop.? Because as mentioned in the post fixerra is bringing in multiple FD issuers and providing infrastructure to build. Would that lower the entry barrier for building B2C product in FD segment as any fintech can expand horizontally in this segment by integrating with them.

Or stable money themselves are using these types of tools as an enabler? Just wanted to understand if I'm thinking this right?

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), a special unit of the Reserve Bank of India, plans to extend the deadline for introducing a 30% cap on the market share of individual UPI ecosystem participants, the sources said. 

The NPCI had initially planned to enforce the market share cap in January 2021, but postponed the deadline to January 1, 2025. TechCrunch had previously reported that the regulator was moving towards extending the deadline further after concluding that there is no practical solution to address the issue.

HDFC, SBI, ICICI clearly the strongest. Startup credit companies usually work with Federal Bank, but they seem to be missing from this list, that's a bit weird?

I feel at this point there are no moats in consumer fintech.

The framework seems to be in a rut, everybody is doing the same thing.

Account aggregator, spend insights, personal loans, credit card, mutual funds, indian stocks, us stocks, etc etc.

If 5 different apps have literally the same features, with no meaningful edge over the other, what would you go for? How do they stand out?

Customer support? Onboarding? Branding? Picking a niche TG?
