If you have exhausted all the options you had in mind, then cash is king. Let any one of the asset classes correct, and then get in. Meanwhile, you can park that money in liquid bees.

It's been close to a year since I am earning a salary and this is what I do:
1. Invest a little less than 30% straight into MFs. I have three ongoing SIPs- small cap, flexicap and a Large + Midcap fund. (Planning to increase the amount further into these and not start a new sip)

2. Max out 80C by putting the entire limit in PPF, this is on top of what is by default deposited into EPF.

3. A little (inconsistently) into direct stocks as and when I find or get to know about a decent trade opportunity.

4. An LIC ULIP plan that my father made me subscribe to 🙂 (hopefully will end in a couple more years)

Tips from experienced folks will be much appreciated.😄

I have surplus money laying around in bank and FDs. 

Total ~ 19L
Bank: 7L (extra didn't account for amount which I will hold in bank)
FDs: 12L( This could be an Emergency fund?)

1. What should be the ideal split in different categories in order to invest/grow/save this money?
2. If some of this needs to invest in equity so how to do that?  Like SIP or lumpsum but market are already very high....

Personally, I thought I should invest in the index fund. Because, I don't want to take the risk with this amount. 

But I would still like to know 2 things - 

1. Is the index fund fine? 
2. Is it the right time to invest in lumpsum Or should I do an SIP of 20k?

Axis small cap
Quant absolute
Hdfc equity savings
Axis blue chip
Sbi gold (just started)

Top performers are axis small cap and quant; also running an sip on them

Current stocks (1.3L ):
Mostly largecap (mostly in red)

The rest of the money is either in fds or in the Bank (significant amount)

I feel the equity portion of my investments is very less and I need to be a bit more aggressive on it right now since I've about 60% of my net worth in either fd or in Bank. I can probably do a 5L lump sum then an sip on the same if they continue to perform well.
Considering that please suggest some investment options

Chinese funds

I've completed 1 year in my first job. I've tried saving and investing some money, help me decide what I can do better:

Income: 22LPA

PPF: 3 Lakh
EPF: 2 Lakh
MF: 5 Lakh
Saving Account: 4.5 Lakh

Income for new FY post increment: 29LPA

I did these savings based on some advice from my elder brother.

I'd like to spend more this year though, with some travel and going out more, maybe even purchase a scooty/bike and a PS5 😁 - would these expenses be justified?

Apart from improving my savings & investments and 
still being able to afford a few luxuries, I want to know if I should get any of these:

- Health Insurance - Only 5 Lakh cover from company for me and my parents (note - parents are getting old)
- Life Insurance - Do we really need it, I'm still 24?

Hi guys, 
I have around 4L cash lying around which I wanted to invest. Currently, I think I am in a position to take maximum risks, and see where things go. I also haven’t redeemed the 1.5L tax deduction on Section 80c so PPF and ELSS are open as an investment opportunity. 

I was worried to invest in the current equity markets. Have just put in around 6.5L into Equities in December (Split equally amongst Large, Mid, Small and Flexi Cap) 

Needed advice on which seems a better option:
- Put 1.5L in PPF and the rest in Large Cap MFs since Large Caps haven’t peaked yet
- Distribute the 4L over the next year (~33k/month) and invest it in a SIP to account for market changes
- Put the entire amount into equities (1.5L ELSS, 2.5L Large Caps)

Also, needed advice if it’s better to look for a Real Estate or SGBs Investment to diversify risk? (<25 yo right now so can take a property around 40-50L to test the waters)

What are your views on the current market? I’m planning to continue investing a significant chunk (~50% salary) into SIPs all through. Should I reconsider?
