Why do you want to earn so much money(be rich)?
like what do you want to achieve, what is your goal?
To be able to ask my secretary to book a first class ticket and book a room at the Leela Palace or equivalent without a careless thought

I just want to be debt-free, and feel like I can take a holiday once in a while, without worrying too much about how it could cripple me financially.
No tall ambitions, just want to have a happy life where money is not something I worry about on an ongoing basis.

This. My family has a debt of around 1.5cr, and no one but me to rely on. This is the sole reason why I’m thinking of earning a lot of money.
To tour around the world in 5 star hotels without any second thought.
So basically white lotus?? Go to foreign 5 star hotels and instead of seeing the local life spend the whole day in 5 star 🤣

Oh good god, i was walking down Indiranagar and saw a house with an ornately carved wooden door! THAT'S what I want too!
Bro same, I see many of them in Indiranagar. I feel like, when? How long I need to achieve this?

My mom recounts this story whenever she talks about me or my brother in front of her friends/colleagues;
There used to be a time that we were knee deep in loans which wasn't a good situation to be in. There was an old person who used to have a ठेला (stall) on the way home who used to sell small biscuits, tobacco etc. One day when picking him up from school, he asked for a ₹5 Parle G biscuit. At that time, I had to think twice before even buying that ₹5 biscuit.
Not sure if she bought the biscuit or not, but I'd like to become rich enough to make my mom feel like I would never need to face such a situation, ever.

Whenever I feel I want to get/buy something ( realistic not chutiyaap), I don't want 'lack of money' to be the reason for it.
So that I can answer such question from my private cottage in Switzerland

Freedom
Freedom, because everyone talks about it - i dont do shit on weekends when I have freedom
Travel, because everyone talks about it - i get lazy even when i am planning for short trips
Big home, because everyone talks about it - i don’t even use the spare room in my 2bhk flat
Honestly if I remove what others want from money, i have no clue
It’s good if i earn 3x what i am currently making tho 😜
Lmao same bro. I can't believe the number of things/aspirations I've owned because of society/family - more surprising is that I'm also aligned on those aspirations XD. Still want want exclusive and personal aspirations at show up and realised haha

I don't want to be rich. I come from a simple middle class family and don't have those big dream of luxurious/ expensive life style or products. My only aim was to fulfill the basic necessities of me and family + some trips every year, along with saving and investing the rest money for future as IT jobs are only till 40-45. Even if I get money I don't plan on switching to 1st ac from 3rd ac in train or buying apple products or buying expensive cars or leaving public transport.
I can throw resignation letters on my boss face. Not only with current job or any job. I want to work on low paying jobs like McDonald’s sales person or some fancy store sales person. I can do only these stunts if I have sufficient money 💰
To figure out what I really want to do. And that involves, switching jobs often until you find the one that clicks.
Can't switch jobs every now and then if I have to worry about my employability or ability to pay bills.
People who say, they won't work after receiving money, they're lying to themselves or they don't know what they're wishing. You'll turn lunatic if you don't keep yourself occupied.
TL:DR:- Money would give me freedom to find my ideal work, not that I want it to quit everything and sit idly.
To buy the ability to travel more and have a certain amount of freedom
Want to go abroad 3-4 times a year on a good flight and stay somewhere nice without having to think
Want to also be working on stuff that I’m personally excited about, and be the boss of what I do

I think you just articulated what I wanted to write but better. Except the health part. Having enough money to covet ANY health related expense is top priority.
