With the advent of AI/ML, as product manager how are you keeping yourself up with the technology?

I am PM with around 5 yrs of experience. I’m struggling to take my skill to next level. always receive feedback from management that output isn’t good, mostly that UX isn’t good. what can I do to improve my work? 1. Read books ? 2. Study successful products from outside ? 3. Listen to podcasts 4. Work with great product people? but hardly these exist 5. leave this field altogether? 6. Just have patience and keep learning everyday? Can experienced people share what has worked out well for them? or point me to some directions?

I have 7 yrs of experience in product management . It’s in electrical product segment . I know from a fundamental product life cycle standpoint job expecations are same but I do not have any knowledge on software tech or tools . Recently I have learned a bit of AI and looking to transition into AI product management . Is there anyone with similar experience ? How difficult or easy it is ? Hello All!! Needed some advice with upskilling to further my career in Product Management and add more dimensions to it. For some context, I have 4.5+ YoE in the software industry, primarily functional roles including about 3 years in Product Management. I want to up-skill myself in some hard skills as I think I have decent exposure in soft skills/functional aspects of PM but lack in the former. Have been thinking of the following: 1. APIs (Conceptual and hands on) 2. Data Analysis (SQL to be precise) 3. Low/No Code Tools I have about 6 months before I start looking for a new role and want to add these to my profile so as to land a good job. Please share your inputs and feedback if these would be useful in a real-life scenario and any other suggestions, if applicable. Counting on the advice and thanks in advance :)

I work for a private sector bank in India as a product manager. The bank is still lagging behind in terms of tools and softwares. We never use JIRA, Power BI or any other commonly used tools/software in product management. It is largely MS Excel,word or Powerpoint driven. Though the story is pretty much same for all Indian banks but I want to upskill and be confident enough to interview for any PM role outside of banking. Please suggest what should be my upskill path and how do I stay competitive.

I am currently managing a product, which has not really scaled up as expected over the last 1.5 years. Hand to heart, I can say I have given my best in terms of efforts but still the outcomes are not as expected due to many factors beyond my control. Now this has created a perception amongst senior management that my team is working very slowly and not able to build what customers want. It is very difficult to change this perception in short term I have asked for change of product portfolio multiple times but that is not getting entertained. Any suggestions if I want to stay in this company (other than the very obvious - looking for opportunities outside the organisation.)
