 The agreement that he so referring to is something 2 other companies have also signed with different airports in India. Rahul Bhatia of Indigo has partnered with Archer from US and Aditya Ghosh has funded IIT Madres incubated company. These 2 are going to go after this market and create infra for it ground up. Partnering with an airport makes sense but majority use is different for companies like Blade in US. Even for Blade majority revenue comes from being able to do organ transplant related logistics over just people. India doesn’t have that sector quite robustly developed yet.

Hi I’m an above average looking and average height guy. I’ve been looking out for a serious relationship for years now and it really sucks. I mean career wise, I’m doing great. I’ve a stable career with a good car and my own house. Something that women consider for serious relationships turning into a marriage.

Walmart IDC is going down!
Walmart US Leadership Centralizes Control, Sidelining India Development Center

Walmart US leadership has instructed its top executives (directors and above) to keep all project control in Bentonville and Dallas, rather than even in California. This has led to a hiring spree in Bentonville and Dallas, while the India Development Center (IDC) has been sidelined.

Managers and directors at the IDC have been reduced to mere figureheads and people controllers, forced to toe the line of their US counterparts. This is detrimental to both managers and individual contributors (ICs).

ICs are being assigned to different teams without any support or work-life balance. They are unable to solve any problem without asking for permission from their US counterparts, even for minor details.

The US management has already begun to tighten its grip on the IDC, and the future looks bleak. Additionally, return-to-office requirements are becoming more stringent, and even working hours may be monitored.

TLDR:

The restructuring of Walmart's global operations is having a negative impact on the IDC, with managers and ICs alike being marginalized. The US management's increasing control over the IDC is creating a challenging work environment for employees, and the future of the center looks uncertain.

I have many friends who are into IT and Tech(read again Tech not IT). Whenever I am speaking to the IT folks and understand their aspirations I always find that they have this strange thing mentioned every now and then i.e. Going to the Clients location(all overseas) for a couple of months and coming back or extending for a longer duration say a few years and purchasing a house/flat back in India. 

I don't understand how going to the client's location(even if it's on Mars) and earning $$$ can be life's ultimate goal. 

What am I missing here? 

I am not able to understand since I have always believed that life's ultimate goal would be always bigger for people(achievable/non achievable are different things). 
Does working in IT make people so myopic that they are destined to think in  the straight line process and wait for that token(at least what I have heard is that it's some weird selection they do to select and send you abroad on the projects). May be this thought process makes most of the crowd stick to the systems for years and decades at work. Is it considered that bigger of an achievement OR Is it a way to make people stick around for longer duration ?

What am I missing here ?
