A Disappointing end to my SDE 2 Interview journey at Flipkart
Over the last few weeks, I went through an intense interview process for an SDE 2 role at Flipkart.
I cleared all the technical rounds, gave my best in each discussion, and received positive feedback throughout. Each step brought me closer to an opportunity I was genuinely excited about.
However, despite successfully clearing all evaluations, I was informed that I would not be offered the role — simply because I was 2 months short of completing 2 years of work experience.
It’s extremely disheartening to see the entire journey come down to a technicality like this — where months matter more than skills, performance, or potential.
While the outcome was disappointing, I am proud of the effort I put in and everything I learned through the process. I hope that in the future, companies will recognize that true growth cannot always be measured in exact months of experience.

I feel you. Back in December, despite clearing all the truly technical and managerial rounds and receiving positive feedback across all rounds, I was ghosted for a month and then eventually sent me a standard rejection letter without any feedback. Disheartening, yes. Trust yourself and something better awaits.

Can u mention what type of questions/ rounds they asked?

Interview process:
- Machine coding round (LLD based, design food ordering system)
- PSDS (Problem solving & Data structure, two leetcode medium level questions)
- System design round (LLD based, Asked to create a notification system)
- HM round(mainly focussed on resume project)
- HR
