I'm a skinny guy... Height : 5 feet 7 inches Weight : 48 kg Can I gain weight without going to gym ??

Yes you can.But do some kind of bodyweight training(squats,pushup,pull-up etc daily). Gaining weight in form of muscles is best thing you can do.Take slow approach.You can start with 1-2 kg gain per month.Eat atleast 1.2gm/kg protein.You can start with 1gm/kg protein and increase it as your digestive system adpats.
Most underrated tip for weight gain-Try consuming more liquid calories.(Avoid sugar as much as possible)
For example,you can make shake of milk,oats , dryfruits,peanut butter&protein powder(if available but you can skip this.Always buy genuine protein).This gives you lot of calories and it goes down quickly.
1-2 kg per month how it is possible for veg ( with eggs) eaterš„²? Trying since last year it's constant.

This may sound weird, but consult your family doctor before changing your diet as too much protein is bad.
Two years ago, I started to go to the gym for weight training on a high protein diet (vegetarian). While I gained a lot of muscle mass (I'm 185 cm, went from 65 kg to 82 in my mid 20s) , I started having incredible pain on ankles with swollen foot for no reason. The pain was unbearable, and I could barely walk.
After some medical tests, the ortho concluded that I have elevated uric acid levels due to a high protein diet and asked me to cut down protein. Apparently, it's gout and has no other causes apart from just eating too much protein.
Key takeaway - go ask an expert before changing your diet.

You need to eat in excess of your daily calorie requirement. Use any online calculator (Google it) to get this. It just uses your weight,height + few optional parameters to give you a certain number of calories. Let's say you arrive at 1800 calories/day.
Then you can try to consume at least 2000 calories/day. These excess 200 calories would help you put on the weight. You can Google for calorie rich foods. Peanut butter is a good example. High in calories and decent amount of protein.

Workout :
* Chest and triceps
* Back and biceps
* Legs and shoulders
Don't do abs initially until you gain good body mass, let it accumulate fat, don't worry about it, once you feel you've built good mass, you can start cutting it.
Diet :
4-5 eggs a day + 2 chapatis + any breakfast + whey (don't take whey during the first month)
Or
300gm chicken + 4 chapatis + fruits + milk + whey
Follow this diet and you'll see changes in your body within 2 months.
And don't fap frequently, makes you less energetic.
Lol, just checked I'm 65 actually, so gained almost 1.5 kgs every month

Eat a lot of bread, eggs, and cheese. Once you gain some weight, start an exercise routine which would build your body according to the weight.
Weight gain in a healthy possible way can only be done by gaining some lean muscle and for that, if not gym, you definitely need some body weight or DYI gymming equipments and a good diet.
And itās a rather mundane and time taking process.

Without gym, you'll gain fat.
With gym and proper maintained diet. you'll gain muscles + fat.
All you need to do is calculate your daily calorie intake and go in calorie surplus diet by gradually increasing your frequency of eating things. if you can't eat together eat dry fruits, peanuts in gaps of 1-2 hrs. for the initial months.
Go to a gym, start working out, follow a routine for training, create a diet (doesn't have to be followed thoroughly but protein intake should be sufficient to maintain muscles)
I was 59 in jan 2023, now I am 67kg. working out properly and regularly will open up your hunger.
If u gain weight without strength training, itāll be unusable weight. Not at all healthy
A bit noob to bodybuilding....
I do have a high level idea but still can you define strength training ?
How is it different from other workouts?
It just means u lift more than ur body so something as simple as exercises with dumbbells. Just look through YouTube

Wow I started where you were at when I was 20 years old. Today I stand at a strong 75kgs and this is after losing 10 kgs
1 hour mixed workout strength training and cardio some
After workout immediately in 30 min consume protein shake 25 gm protein and some carbs like 2 bananas , 4 dates , 4 almonds , 2 akrod etc
Breakfast
Anything home made , quantify
Poha / upma/ idli Sambhar
Snack
1-2 seasonal fruits
Lunch
Make a rice pulav
Brown rice 70gm , spinach 200 gm and around 100 gm other veg tomato , carrot , capsicum , spring onions all cook in 1 vessel add some masala and salt as per requirement
Dont make to spicy too masala etc
Also eat in 2 parts this rice 1 in lunch other in dinner
Yoh can have 2 roti and other vegie
Add dal with rice
Evening
Have dinner early before 8 pm and consume 2nd part rice , dal , 1 roti , vegie etc
For high protein imclude soya , paneer etc for vegie
Above rice of vegie makes gut stronger , givens n number nutrients vitamins from vegies and protein with exercise makes musles.
