Amazon to layoff 10,000 employees
According to a report, Amazon will be terminating 10,000 jobs starting this week, which represents less than 1% of its 1.5 million global employees and around 3% of the company's corporate staff.
Round 2 of layoffs at Amazon will happen this Jan. This time from retail division. Headcount not yet confirmed. But it’ll be in rabge of 10k to 20k.

Had heard from someone that there were layoffs supposed to happen this week at AWS. Just heard from a colleague that someone they know was asked to leave today.

Who are the teams being laid off in Amazon in India? Is it the operations staff, admin or the SDEs 1 or 2 or senior coders?
There have been some rumors and isolated reports of layoffs in Amazon India. Is there any truth to the story? If so, which teams have been impacted / are likely to be impacted?
