Any watch collectors here?
Which watch do you own and why? Story behind your best watch wear if any? I’ll go first! I own HMT Devanagari and I just love the retro feel of it. I don’t own any new age digital watches.
So one of my squirt friend exchanged it with me for extension chord -_-
I had DW 45mm, now looking for new one, which is minimal, premium and works for office.
Went to titan showroom but they’re meh. I’m not feeling it!
Range 10-18k
I got myself a Seiko before I got laid off. I always wanted to get a watch which is solar powered, and wanted something which is totally analogue, with minimal features and classy look.
I am a watch collector. Most of my watches are from Fossil. Few from Casio(including a G-Shock). I hate the likes of Apple Watches.
You can easily get a very decent analogue watch from either Fossil, Edifice, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Diesel within 20K. These brands have good classy designs. I like the skeleton watches from Fossil.
I was planning to buy apple watch, but they have some patent issues going on, for me the sole purpose was to track activities.
Dropped the idea now. Been a analog user, so continuing the same. I’ll sort this list out, thanks for those mentions!
I think that patent thing got resolved or so… am not sure though… you can also check out hybrid watches… I have one from fossil… helps in tracking steps… alerts for notifications… for calls as well… G-Shock also has kinda hybrid watches.. you can check those out as well…
Are you someone who is a watch nerd/wants watch people respect ?
Or do you just want shiny shiny feels nice watch?
Nope, not shiny whiny watch. It should be premium, not chappri kinda. It’s for office. My overall attire is minimal, and clean. So watch should match that.
Then as a member of the water nerds, please buy from Casio (edifice line might work), Orient Bambino, Seiko (from 5Series, to Fleiger, to more). These are the best watch brands.

Not addressing Apple Watches/Garmins/Fitness Trackers on this thread
I have deep love for mechanical watches (auto and windups). I have a vintage Seiko 5 (JDM) from 1973 and a Longines white dial chrono-St Imier collevtion)

I am done with gshocks and too lazy to charge smartwatches(have been using a smartwatch since 1yr)
I am looking for a watch that would look mature yet attractive.
I am tempted to buy an entry model luxury watch. More specifically automatic with a budget of 1-5lacs. But I also know it’s waste of money in some sense abd it would be a sentimental buy. I don’t own / like apple / smart watches. Already...
Going first, for me it is my Apple Watch Ultra (with Blue Ocean Band). I paid Rs. 1.05 Lacs for it but still the best investment I have ever made
my kid.
