Analytics to PM transition

How does one move from Analytics to Product Management roles?

I have ~2.5 years experience in Business Analytics. Recently I have been working on ML use cases as well. I also have product analytics experience.

I really feel like I would do better in a PM role because working on a product end to end really excites me and I can use my analytics experience in that role as well.

Bur how does one do this transition? Do companies accept your CV if you have nil PM experience but still wanna move into this role?

Anyone who has made this transition, could you comment how you did it?
