Be a gentleman. Try to go for a movie/standup etc before dinner date so that you have something to talk abt. Don't have awkward silence, but don't blabber randomly. Ask her questions abt herself and make her speak more. If you have a car, offer to drop her but don't be persistent.

Hold hands, compliment her (hair, dress, shoes etc), make contextual humour. If you both drink, better go on a beer date. Plan it somehow, that you could have a walk with her after...
