Anyone know what’s happening at APNA? Growth/funding/peoplewise?
Seeking insight on a, once-exciting, unicorn
Sorry but the big issue with Apna is that the top 1% of Indians and a few western VCs think it's a fantastic idea for the bottom billion humans.
Listen to folks who actually use Apna, they think it's a scam. Desperate folks pay apna in the hope they get jobs. However majority of the jobs as listed as 'sales' or 'IT' are not real or long closed. People fill out mock proficiency tests and get nothing in return.
Under the hood just a recruitment company and the overpaid people running the product have their heads too far up their ass to realise their customers are not there to enjoy some trendy social network. They want better fuukin jobs.

Great team, great execution. Like the problem they’re solving. It’s going to take long before they can really monetize. Disrupt the market so much that no employer in tier 2/3 can sustain without paying them.
Agree with comments above. Idea is good and they have a good team too. Monetising May take good time and possibly via enterprise partnerships.
Always felt like there was a lot of need for what Apna was doing but very little money making potential
