applying to 40 jobs a day on LinkedIn Easy Apply

I want to share my experience as a fresher at Accenture, my first company from a college placement. The first six months were fine, but then I faced severe mental harassment from my supervisor and manager. She constantly criticized my work and gave negative feedback, causing me immense stress. I often skipped meals and worked weekends to improve, but nothing helped. Despite reporting the issue and requesting a supervisor change or a different track, my requests were ignored. The harassment worsened, affecting my physical health, and I couldn't eat or sleep properly. My manager controlled trivial aspects like where to sit and whom to talk to, making the situation unbearable. I was even forced to switch from a developer role to a tester, despite being trained as a developer. The final straw was being placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) without a clear reason, with the same harassing individuals assessing me. I only had 1.9 years of experience then. I reported the mental harassment to HR and resigned due to deteriorating health, panic attacks, and weight loss. Despite having no other job offer, I couldn't continue. Even during my notice period, I was forced to complete PIP assignments, which led to suicidal thoughts and further health issues. Now, I am jobless, feeling helpless and frustrated. With less than 2 of experience, I struggle to find offers in a down IT market and don't know what to do next.

I'm currently working as DSE at Infosys from june 2022 ,i am willing to make a switch, but I'm getting almost no interview calls, only calls that i get are mostly from small startups. Can anyone suggest me on how to secure interviews

Hi Grapeviners, I have ten years of work ex in performance marketing and CRM. I started job search actively from Feb 15 this year and landed first interview today. How bad is the market out there. I usually get hired with in 30 job applications, also I apply to the role only if 70% and above role match with my previous experience also use referrals when available. So, I finally landed an offer with a product company as an SDE after months of struggle as a fresher. I hail from a circuital branch of the old IITs. Campus placements were difficult this year, so while I did interview at some good product companies (Microsoft, Amex, etc.), luck didn't favour me and I had tsettle up with a trading role with a low pay. (Other story why I decided to apply here in the first place) Most of the news articles floating around fucked up placements at IITs are in fact true and I decided to try my hands at off-campus placements only to realise how difficult it is to get even your profile noticed (yes, even with a tier-1 college). So this is what I did which I believe can help freshers land a job in this difficult market: 1) Simply applying on LinkedIn esp. via easy apply won't work. There's literally thousands of applicants within a day for a job posting. So try to stand out among the crowd. 2) Draft an excellent resume. Add things that you believe you can explain to the interviewer (doesn't matter if you've worked a lot on it, the interview is just an hour of you trying to make the interviewer believe the guy knows his stuff). 3) Know your strengths- are you good at DSA or are you good at dev. Startups would demand dev skills majorly, product companies would require DSA knowledge. 4) Start reaching out to people - very senior level people, HRs, Hiring Managers, people directly in touch with Hiring Managers, etc. Dm them on LinkedIn, cold email, and keep following up. In the case of early stage startups, directly reach out to the CTO/CEO. Sometimes, the jobs just don't get posted publicly. 5) Don't lose hope. I've had days when I used to get a headache thinking of the future and days when I had multiple interviews on the same day. The market is just tough, you're good enough and things might take time, but you'll definitely make it through. I got interviews at a couple of HFTs, and a few good product companies and got an offer.

Shitty and frustrated feeling - I have been applying for the better part of the year on LinkedIn (Premium) btw, for over 500+ roles on LinkedIn across various companies for a role in Business Intelligence, is it shitty for everyone out there or just me? Got couple of interviews then ghosted, what the f**k is happening? Is it just me? Please guide; our thoughts

I think about seriously quitting my job atleast once every few months but I've stuck it out here for almost 3 years now. I don't know if it's just me but the idea of putting myself out there and starting afresh at a new company is just terrifying - the struggle to find something exciting but stable, being evaluated at interviews all over again, the uncertainty of fitting into a new team and having to prove myself all over again at a new work place - all of this just puts me off from taking any real action I see everyone around me talking about career growth and taking up new opportunities. And rationally, I get it. I get that there are tons of benefits to changing jobs - better salary, escaping a toxic workplace, etc. etc. I truly admire people who make these frequent shifts - seriously, how do people navigate this?

I'm incredibly frustrated with LinkedIn's job application process. It seems like the job tab never works effectively, and I wonder if others share my experience. Despite applying to jobs using the "Easy Apply" and directly on company websites with a well-crafted resume and complete information, I've never received a response. I question the authenticity of these job postings and whether HR professionals actually review the applications. If they do, what is their process? How do they sift through the numerous applications? It feels like my efforts are in vain, and the lack of feedback is disheartening.

I was laid off in February. Finally after 2.5 months of boring interviews and life, landed a job. Today was Day 1. I was outside India for a while doing crazy stuffs. I returned in June and then started applying. Here is the summary. 1. Lots of applicants in the job market. Every job would attract 1000s of applicants 2. Most jobs require high experience - 5+ 3. Applying and finding companies who are hiring is tough. 4. Emailed everyone in network, took referrals from all friends, took referrals from LinkedIn (very low response), Applied on instahyre, Wrote to startup founders, applied Wellfound, Workday(worst of all), Naukri 5. Startups are the worst - gave petty assignments and ghosted after getting solution. Had to follow up multiple times but to no avail. They ate my whole 1 month 6. Some interviews were different - in one I had to code in python very fast. That's it. Wasn't selected as I was looking up for syntax on internet. 7. Overall it was a very boring and tiring process. I somehow maintained my sanity. YoE- 2 TC- 29L ( Base +PF)

Problem? Job posted 1 hr ago, number of applicants = 700+

I'm not getting calls or invites for the job opportunity from LinkedIn. What is wrong with it or i have to take care of something ?
