I saw an ad on Business Analytics course by Upgrad it's worth 40k with placement assistance, and guaranteed 3 Interviews, are they really worth it or it's just advertising bs
Used to work at upGrad. I'm saying this without any bias- yes the courses are good and often the career services team works hard to place students. Students do see a positive change in their salaries or get their first job post program completion. However, some programs are indeed a bit expensive (this one isn't), so it depends whether you're okay paying so much.

One of those learning consultants called me today, like he's telling me all those positive sides of investing 54k into a course which can get me an average package of 5-6 lakhs, still I kinda feel that 100% placement assistance is a just a way of getting students to enroll, and I can't decide yet.

The program is really good for freshers who are currently in college or graduated and are looking to start their career.
They do offer placements as well. While I was there they had actually placed a lot of students in good companies with packages you wouldn’t have expected a fresher to have. It’s not just a marketing gimmick. You will hear people shit on just about everything that’s India.
End of the day you are the major deciding factor in terms of placements and packages. If you understand what you’re signing up for. Put in the work then definitely worth it.
I did a Global MBA program from Upgrad and I would say it was worth it. Was able to land a great job.
