For fresher in India it's around 7-11 LPA, ofc dependin upon your company. But most of ky frnds working in decent startups are getting nearly the mentioned figure.

Considering you have no previous experience as a designer and no design school

If you join service company in metro as a fresher you can expect 20k to 45k based on the company and increase your package by switching every 1.5 years to right company and learning right skills.

For product/startup companies, it's usually more than service company.

Denge bhi nahi unless there is a strong hiring structure in place which mandates a minimum threshold for each level of design ladder.

Plus, there are just too many desperate good designers in the market. Companies are also not making a lot of money due to multiple issues beyond their control.

There is none. Company to company and even City to city this varies a lot

The situation is not good for entry-level jobs. People are willing to work for free and year-long internships have started becoming a norm.

Don’t let anyone lowball you but don’t get too caught up with CTC figures. Look for companies where you see growth and some structure.

3-5L is also decent amount to start with. Build a strong portfolio and soon you can switch for a higher CTC. My org pays about 6-9L for entry level designers but I know that’s not the norm.

7-11L in startups include ESOPs which are worthless unless you are able to complete the vesting period and the company makes it big.
