People earning more than 50lpa. What advice would you give to freshers?

Genuinely curious! Like I graduated about 4 years ago from an NIT and started with 40k pm for an analytics role, now everyone I see is earning atleast 12lpa after tax?

Just wanted to see general sentiment. Coming from a tier 1 clg in du most roles offer between 50-80k base, not including variable. Also do mention the field you've gotten into, thanks.

Hi, I have recently graduated and now I'm going to start my career as a software developer. Can you suggest me with resources for managing finances along with taxes and how to do investments or guide me how I can manage my expenses by giving some tips? My base is around 14Lpa. My rent is around 25kpm. And monthly necessary expenditure of around 15kpm. I am not that well-versed with taxes also. I'm learning about them. Currently I invest 3k in MF every month. I would like to your suggestions and advises for the same.

Seeing a lots of discussion about people complaining about inflated salary, it's quite sad to see such discussions. Take SWE for example, so an swe is expected to move to an expensive city with high travel and food expenses, scant housing options with landlords hiking the price 40-80%, work 8 hrs a day and sometimes even 12. And if he's drawing 20-30LPA he's considered overpaid?! Not to mention the guy has to pay a huge chunk to the government and we're not americans who don't care about their family and have to take care of them as well. We're all overworked and underpaid (if you consider the amount of hrs one work and how much they are paidpaid in abroad) and considering the situation still underpaid. There may be people who might be drawing a high salary and barely do any work (considering they take a lot of leaves and don't put time and effort in work) but that should be the discussion of the inadequate framework for calculating better metrics for productivity and how companies fail to do their due diligence, instead of complaining about high salary. This affects us all and if we all think that salaries are inflated it only hurts us more.

Hey guys! I'm in my B.Tech final year from Tier-2 college. Recently I got placed in Deloitte as a Consultant Analyst with 7.6 lpa. Considering the current market scenario and average salaries just wanna know whether 7.6 lpa is decent or less for a fresher.

Recently started earning and honestly living a comfortable life with a much lower salary than most people talk about. Doing the math, I don't see myself needing more than 18L-24L in hand to save and continue living comfortable (but I am someone who always likes to do more and get paid more). If you're <30 and earning this much money, why do you push for higher salary (eg from 30LPA to 40 LPA) - is 30 not enough? Genuine query, open to any perspectives 🙏

So just finished my graduation I thought I'll cry about not having a job but I got a freelancing contract as a technical trainer. I want to become a software engineer, the current contract pays we somewhat 40-50k pm but work is hectic as I need to put a lot of physical labour, But the reason I choose this 1. Current market 2. I didn't want to sit unemployed as personal situation is not that good. So what should I do? Like continue the same and I'm sure they will pay more cuz I got to from the manager that I have a good explanation skills or try to go get another work even it's paying very less. The reason I'm asking strangers on the net is bcz it's so complicated that I can't even tell my parents about it.... So guys please if you have a suggestion or personal opinion feel free to give.
