Hi, everybody. My startup failed after 3+ years. Had to close down operations. Trying to be very brief. Lookout for a job role. Please let me know if you can. In this job market, don't think I'll even get a fresher role

Hi Grapes, I am looking for a job in a product role .I do have a kind of 3 plus years of early stage product building experience but was laid off last year .It's been a tiring journey since then ,trying my best to get a job in the current market but interview calls are not coming ,if they come they are taking one or two rounds and then HR ghosts without any update.Trying my luck here too , if anyone is hiring would love to connect .Anyone facing a similar situation can contribute their thoughts .

I was recently laid off. I am applying for jobs. One question that has been a bother for me is on my unfortunate past short stints. Need help from folks on how to tackle these Q's. I am applying for product / strategy roles. 2015 - tier 1 engg 2019 - tier 1 MBA 1.5 yrs - did my own startup...fairly successful but later failed due to covid 11 months - worked in a fairly well known fast growing startup - left coz wanted to move to a product centric startup 14 months - worked in product based big unicorn startup - got laid off 10 months - joined an early stage startup - startup failed and laid off again What should be my interview strategy? How do I portray my story in a positive light?

After being in this industry for a while, I've realized it's not the right fit for me and I'm looking to make a switch. However, with the tough market conditions, I haven't had much luck finding new opportunities. I'm really interested in transitioning to tech-related Product Management, Marketing, or Strategy roles, but most job postings require 2-4 years of industry-specific experience in tech. I've also heard from colleagues that it can be difficult to switch industries when you have a background in insurance. This has left me feeling a bit demotivated and unsure about my prospects. I would love to hear any advice or suggestions on how I can better prepare myself for these roles and increase my chances of landing a new opportunity. I was recently asked to resign/layoff along with 40% of the engg and product function at the org with 1 month pay. I have 1 yr in Fintech Product M and 3 years in Travel tech. How the hiring situation like right now? Anyone currently looking please share. Referrals appreciated.

Hello all, I'm a software engineer at one of the service based companies and I graduated last yr. Though I always knew software engineering isn't for me, I still gave it a try hoping my perspective would change when I enter the industry. Bummer! I hate it even more What I have realised is I don't like to code or spend all day finding a solution to an error. Not to say I don't like problem solving but I simply don't like the problem solving that is required for a great software engineer. I have been a content writer in the past and enjoyed it. I also helped a small digital marketing agency launch a campaign for a product. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of coming up with ideas that suit the tone of the brand, writing copies and much more. I'm thinking of switching to a marketing role or anything that aligns with what I have mentioned above. My question to you are: 1) Is it even possible to switch without an MBA? 2) If so, What should be my approach to applying to jobs? (Kindly tell me the specific and not just -' Make a stellar resume and apply ' kind of a vague answer) 3) What other roles can I look into?

I am done with Meesho. The work is great but the reward structure has become shit. The leadership has become hypocrite over the years and if this goes on then soon most of the talent would leave this super high density talent company. Feeling betrayed post the layoffs and the promo cycle, I am looking for new product opportunities, please help if there are any openings at your organisation 🤕

I joined my company (tech startup) as a Product Manager and over the course of 3 years have worked both in Product as well as in Business teams. And to be honest, I like both the work. Now, I am looking for a switch and unable to decide which role I should pursue - Product or Business. So, I would need help from you all. From a long term career point of view keeping in mind compensation, scope of work and transitioning into leadership positions (CXOs), which is a better role and why - Product or Business?
