Bank to early stage startup - good move?
I've been working with a private bank for the last 4 years in corporate banking. Tired with the hierarchy and operations/admin work. I did an MBA from IIT and B tech from NIT. I would like to change the industry and profile. I know switching between the two would be tough but possible, but I can't work in banks anymore. I am exploring career options now, to put it bluntly. I've been seeing a lot of cross-border remittance and lending startups, but considering the present situation, I don't want to risk joining an early startup.
In an ideal scenario, I would like to move to a data analyst position in an MNC. Open for suggestions
You seem young, take the risks now.
MBA from IIT would get you big numbers in Earl stage startups. And keep moving from there.
Rake up the money before you get into cycle of EMIs
Thank you for the suggestion.
As part of my day to day job, I interact with a good number of startup founders and a couple of them offered a generalist role . I am not considering switching now due to the market condition. Am I worrying too much?
Market will always favour the skills. Switch to where you like the work (and money)
isn't job after mba interesting?
It was a year back, but not now, at least for me.
I would like to do a desk job.
