This just feels like talk. They should’ve sold tickets with names from the beginning or something like that! This’ll just draw out the news until it eventually dries out.

Right

40% tax should be implemented on ticket booking which we can refund after filling the ITR

how will they even verify resold tickets, especially individuals? There’s no ID or authentication.
Idk why is it so hard for companies to make named tickets unless they themselves want to enjoy the benefits of black marketing

Somebody needs to tell him people have not uploaded tickets on viagogo as of yet, those are to be delivered 01 day before the concert.

But reselling is already there

You can resell without uploading ticket
You can upload ticket 02 days before the event
You can provide ticket in person too
Also, if they cancel, they better be ready to explain it to the supreme court why genuine resellers / gifted tickets were cancelled :)

Here's the solve going forward: Ask each buyer to assign ownership of tickets to BMS user profiles within 30 min of purchase. This handles gifting and one person buying for many use cases. This can be done for friends and fam but not for strangers trying to buy. Link tickets to users AND their devices. Scan these devices on entry in the stadium. Mis-matched tickets and phones are not allowed. No need to check govt ID if you're checking phones. People will have to sell phones to sell tickets.

You want everyone to have a BMS Profile? Improve BMS database ?

Most attendees have a profile anyway. And you must give some control to them if you want them to be responsible for stopping re-selling.

How are they going to identify which tickets are resold?

I don’t see any issue with reselling. It’s a market place after all. That is how concert/event tickets are bought or sold everywhere

Sure. By that logic only hoarders should buy in the primary market.
Marketplace works on a fundamental principle that those who “need” it will buy it. Else the demand becomes infinite.

Book my show itself is selling tickets in black, it is well known and investigation is going on.
