Building a web app. Need review
Hi there, I am a self taught programmer who enjoys coding and likes todo lists a lot. I am right now building a web app that will allow you to create lists for anything and everything that you like starting from movies, podcasts, bookmarks, etc. And then those lists can be shared across the internet so that the people around you can get to know about you and your taste. What do you think about this? Also if you want any features in it, please let me know.

Write a detailed PRD with all the features you want. Code a demo up. Show it to 5 people and iterate. At the end of every step you will get clarity yourself. It's hard to visualise a problem statement without writing anything down/building

Just build it, share demo links and iterate

I don't see a natural use case for the 'meta data' that you have called out above as the differentiator

Nope, don't need another one.
I currently use WhatsApp and Google Keep for my lists
I see. I should have mentioned that the list items will contain meta data about the items to be added making it much more than a normal todo list.
For example, if you are building a list for movies, then it will have the name of the movie, year, movie image etc.

I don't see a natural use case for the meta data, that seems to be the differentiator

I have been thinking along these lines, for example a tool that can pull playlists from Spotify and collect/recreate it in yt music. Playlist migration is a headache between music apps.
Even if playlist migration can't happen, maybe the playlist pulled can have links to that track leading to all other music platforms.
I think it's an interesting space especially for recommendations outside the platforms. Maybe could have a community/user generated recos instead of what the platform decides to suggest.

Don't call it a to do list though lol. Maybe an interest wall or something where you can make lists of your interests and get recos based on names/keywords.
But how often do you change music apps ? I don't think someone would frequently go through this process
