How to bond with team as a fresher just starting out as sde?
Set up biweekly 1:1s with everyone where you discuss informal stuff before discussing feedback
You can play games in the office and try to talk about something other than work. I am also a fresher and playing with teammates helped a lot.

Currently a fresher here too. The way I have seen it yet is it depends on your team and the people you work with. If there wasn't any concept itself in place, you'd be handed with work itself on the 1st day. On the flip side, your seniors or manager can take you on team dinners or trips over the weekend even if the company is not sponsoring it
Unfortunately I consider to be of the first category but will like more insight from others on this
