Getting freelance clients
I am seeing lots of 22 years old who have opened their digital marketing agency and earning really good money by working with freelance clients who pay in dollars.
I am starting up and I want a source of income. Don't really want to go to corporate job.
Haven't had much success with freelancing. Cold mailing hardly works and gig websites like Upwork etc have lots of competition at some really cheap rate.
What are the best way to getting freelance work with international clients? Any help would be highly appreciated.
First things first: most of these 22 year olds who post that they are earning so much are simply lying. They create this perception about themselves which attracts some new/dumb/international clients, and that's that. Most of the content they post are either too basic or too vague, targeting naives.

No seriously, I'm a 24 year old Marketing Manager and I've worked with some of the biggest digital agencies, Social Beat, Schbangg, Dentsu Webchutney, etc. and these companies face huge competition to get clients who pay 3-4L a month too.
During my bachelor's degree, I set up a film production company and focused on only 1 industry initially. That was Hotels - cold calling, crazy email pitches, networking, etc. landed me my first few 3-star hotel clients - in Goa and Pondi. My pitch used to have my portfolio of earlier works Earned 2L, invested in a camera and equipments. Then moved into my next market - Politics. It was 2019 elections in Maharashtra and I was able to land a big campaign work (net profit > 5L) for an MLA candidate, who won :) Slowly moved into Real Estate in Mumbai but this didn't work out in terms of economics.
If I were you, I'd have followed the same path for digital marketing side hustle. I've experience of managing spends upwards of ₹5Cr per month on Meta and Google Ads now. By first principles, presenting your experience in an attractive, impact- & data-driven way (portfolio) and customised pitches with high research about the prospective should work.
Get a job bro. Telling you with my own experience, freelancing seems very nice but without experience you'll never be able to explore your true potential. Do both together like me.

Have your rich parent work as/own an international business, who can humbly brag to his peers and subordinates that their 22yo offspring is looking to break into digital marketing.
