How do you do solo trip? Meet new people? Any pro tips? New life goals!

Hey guys I’ve never travelled solo in my entire life. Where and How should I start? There are few questions I’ve like: 1. How to handle accommodations? 2. Concern about the safety and security. 3. How to decide which places to visit. I mean can’t roam around uselessly, must have a list of places to visit. 4. Whom to believe, in the sense that, a lot of people are ready scam you when they find you are new here, how to handle that. If you travel solo very often, then suggest some pointers to keep in mind. The number of times I've heard people say shit like 'traveling makes you grow as a person'. Someone please specify what this growth looks like because I've never experienced it. I don't think traveling is life-changing. I think most people have a romanticized, cinema-like idea of traveling that has been exaggerated even more because of social media. It definitely is fun to go on a vacation. But in most cases, that's all it is -- a source of entertainment. Maybe an ice-breaker the next time you go to some pretentious party. Am I missing something?

I’m graduating in October, and wanna take a break for 2 months before I officially become a “corporate slave”. As a girl I’ve never had the freedom/opportunity to travel solo internationally and I am planning on visiting Thailand in mid Oct. I’d love some tips on: 1) How to overcome the fear (I’m someone who’s watched wayyy too may true crime shows and I’m paranoid lol) 2) How to calculate expenses for a week long trip to Thailand from Blore (I’ve heard it’s mostly b/w 60-75K) Any help would be appreciated! ✨

I’ve done a bit of both solo and group travel, and each has its pros and cons. For me, solo travel is refreshing, I can do whatever I want without waiting for anyone, but group travel is also a lot of fun to create memories with friends. What’s your take on this?

On d way ( guess ) Next on the list is andaman, NE and lalshwadeep. Most of the trips are financed by my dividends, stock gains and P2P interest income. I prefer hostels and trains 🚂 Spend the savings on adventures and extra curricular stuffs + food Helps staying fit and fine mentally also :)
