Cyber security jobs in danger?
Hi all, Is it just me or there are multiple layoffs in the cybersecurity field( SOC) specifically.
I thought cyber security roles were the regulatory redtape roles which you are forced to keep to protect the company from legal bullshit?

Exactly. Lots of stuff happening here, automation is already happening to a great extent.
Also necessary imo, cuz black hat hackers are doing the same too.
No layoffs. My org politely asks us to switch projects and gives us 2-3 options to choose from. Internal switching so no need for lay offs.
Can’t relate, no layoffs in my org. We’re hiring for multiple roles, and a lot recruiters are reaching out, so it seems the market is still pretty hot.

hiring is freezed yeah. layoffs? no, atleast not in my connections!
AI based SOC exists these days (e.g. ai soc solution by Palo Alto Networks) , so yeah!!!!
