Exit opportunities for business consultants?

I currently work as a senior analyst in risk management and analytics at one of the big 3. Don’t really like the work or long hours. What are my exit options? Can I move to tech in some product or strategy roles? Or can I get a VC or PE analyst role? Appreciate if anyone can share their experience of post exit from consulting. Yoe 3 MBA tier 2

I've been working as a Software developer with a total of 2.5 years of exp in an MNC. I want to explore other areas like consulting. Can y'all suggest how I can get started and would I be a fool to try applying to the Big4? Also let me know if the whole shebang about consultants getting to travel more true or it depends on other factors??

I am very fascinated by Management Consulting and been speaking with ex consultants. All of them are critical of it, but agree the money is good 🤤 Need advice - Do these companies take lateral hires? I have seen only IIM candidates freshly graduated being taken in I'm not IIM, but MBA with 6 years of work ex - MBB have shittiest WLB and highest money. Which comes down as per tier. Which is the best tier to get into, so I have best of both worlds (less shitty WLB with lesser money)

I have been working in front end consulting for around 2 years now (first job) and am struggling to understand my options in terms of career paths and in the long term. A) Would love to know more about some career trajectories post consulting + some people who have inspired you whom I can check out on linkedin (in case grapevine allows for it). B) How feasible is a pivot to industry post consulting?

Hi I am currently at 1.5YOE earning around 60-65k appx I am getting opportunities to do an MBA in tier 2 colleges like IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, IIM Nagpur etc Should I consider them or should I take a drop for a Tier1 MBA or should I continue to grow workex and switch in IT domain only ?

I joined CN with some hope to do strategy work after working for long in the Tech Consulting space. But here the work is pathetic and doesn't even come close to the work I used to do earlier. On top of that so many teams by industry , functions and whatnot and such cut throat competition of staffing and credit. What is this madness. All the people who are long timers here have totally no skillset , I can't fathom how they have survived so long here .

Hi there, I have 3.5 years of IT engineering experience and am considering transitioning to consulting. However, I don't have an MBA. Is this switch feasible? If so, what skills and experiences should I highlight on my CV? Are there any certifications or courses that would help? I appreciate any advice or insights!

Joined big 4 recently, after MBA, thought would land-up in strategy roles but placed in functional ERP role, Considering fresher with 0 tool knowledge in SAP, post mba along with 3.5 yrs of exp in amazon this is a fresh start for me. So thinking to move towards ESG as this motivates me a lot to work, how is this space, to move lateral in same org need 1.5 yrs mandarory exp in same firm, Want to apply with same package outside but i know would get less benefits with what i have now, but atleast would start working on ESG field and grow from here. How is this industry in India, would like to know more thoughts

Yesterday I completed 10 years of career in consulting. Started with a Big 4 and then moved to another consulting giant Accenture Strategy 2 years ago. In this tenure ,I have met a lot of talented people, worked with some of the smartest ones and travelled the world like anything. Now looking for the next 10 years of better work life balance :P .
