IBPS PO interview questions
What are some typical questions you might get asked in an IBPS PO interview? And are there any topics you should steer clear of when answering? It is my first time appearing for the interview and I am kind of clueless here. Please help.
The IBPS PO interview evaluates your banking industry knowledge, communication skills, confidence, current events as well as personal questions. To stand out in the interview, you must prepare your answers for all these areas. Here are the possible questions that you can be asked during the IBPS PO interview:
- Personal questions: In this part, you can be asked about yourself or family members and what is the occupation of your parents/guardian. Also, if the interviewer is completely focused on you, then he/she might ask about your strengths and weaknesses and what you’re currently doing.
- Educational background questions: Interviewers can ask you questions related to your educational background. Tell them about your school education, graduation and post-graduation subjects. If there’s a relevant subject about banking and insurance, even as an elective subject, you can mention that.
- Objective and career-related questions: Interviewers can ask you questions related to your career goals, and what you’ve done after graduation or post-graduation. At this point, they can also ask you why you want to join the banking sector. So, you can give a concise answer stating what interests you in the banking field. If you had a previous job in another bank or maybe some other company, they might ask you why you left the job. Make sure you answer in a way that will not bring your previous company in a bad light.
