Choosing a good life and health insurance for me

I am in my twenties and have been working for the last 15+ months. I am making 12 LPA. However, I still don't have any insurance for myself. I started looking for suitable options on PolicyBazaar, but I became very confused after seeing all the available policies. I don't even know how to choose the right insurance or what factors I should consider before purchasing a policy. Could you guys please provide me with some guidance on this matter?

Ditto recommend, or even the policybazar people will call you if you register with them. Both give good recommendations based on your requirements. But first watch 'lla youtube' video to get to know the different terms used in these policies.

Ditto and Beshak are going to give you the highest premium product terming it the best. In fact, most sell highest premium products so they can get highest commission. At the end they are advisors too who get paid by insurance companies. Most don't realise this and assume everything online is good and offline is bad. You don't need a highest premium product unless you are a HNI, don't follow blindly. Contact me with your requirements. I'm a life and health insurance advisor with a license to insure from life to ship. There is no compulsion you should buy. I'm not dependent on commissions for living either. But you will get advice that's in the best interest for you. SreekanthAdvisory@gmail.com.

Thank you for bringing this up. I'm curious about how you generate income through this advisory service if you're not reliant on commissions.

Companies I have partnered with still pay me too similar to any org like Beshak. Advisors have a choice either to charge customers or get paid by companies. I'm fine to work either wise. But most prefer free advice in India so I get paid by companies. The difference I was referring to is that suggesting a health plan takes at least 2 days for me. I don't have pre defined templates. For some customers, I prefer 2nd top policy in my own list because he can save some premiums while getting similar benefits as 1st tóp policy. I suggest different policies for HNI based on their education levels. For some who prefer service, I may suggest them differently. For some families there may be genetic diseases like cancer so i will suggest only particular policies which I believe are going to honour claims. I have 2 clients in last 2 days with diabetes. For one of them i suggested something without any waiting period and for other customer i suggested something with 2 year waiting period because the customer is healthy, saves premium, and also gets a very high sum insured. I explain both options and it is up to the customer to decide. And I let go of a customer yesterday. I told her to come back to me next year during renewal because she has a surgery planned in 2 months and I let her with her current company as she has that policy for many years so claim rejection won't happen.

Ditto is a great place for advice. For an easy plan, check out niva Bupa assure (covers most things at a low premium). For life insurance, depends on your needs - do some research on time period, adequate amount etc and then choose a provider. Tata AIG, HDFC are decent for life insurance

P.S. if you have an amex credit card, go via them and get 30-50% off on health insurance premium :)
