Companies that transitioned from windows laptops to Mac
Does anybody exist ? My work laptop is a DELL with i7 with 256 SSD, but it's horribly slow for frontend as well as dotnet work. Anybody convinced upper management to switch to Mac ?

Decision to invest in Hardware (Mac or Windows) is generally taken by CTO's/Management and System Administrator guys (who configure softwares and hardwares) w.r.t budget and willingness of people. Windows laptops in bulk purchase orders are too cheap compared to Mac's hence plus the Admin guys in India know nothing about managing User profiles and software management (what an emp can do and what not and other sorts of restrictions) in Macs. They made their careers while managing Windows all their lives. Hence, you dont see Mac's everywhere except proper product Tech companies.
And hence, no matter how hard u crib, they wont get you mac. if u do, consider urself a lucky lad!
@supercoder74 would you know how one can get bulk max laptops as well from somewhere? Wondering if I can buy a bunch along with a few friends
Great answer by the way
Tools of trade, ask them you can become more efficient if they give you Mac; plus you can say that I use Mac for personal work and you’re way more comfortable with it.
Mostly if someone in your team is using Mac then they’ll not mind.
Was forced to move to mac because of some security related bullshit. My work mostly involves excel, it’s a good damm nightmare a task that took 5 mins takes 15 now. Company won’t allow me to install an app that would add back the alt shortcuts.
Hate macs.
Mac management software licenses are pretty expensive as compared to windows ones. Plus migrating stuff from windows to Mac could be tricky and time consuming. Plus mac damage covers are expensive
