Going alone on a trip with strangers. Thoughts

1. Keep people informed. If not family, then friends. 2. Don't worry, it'll be amazing. You'll make new friends and make memories that will last a lifetime. 3. Excitement and fear go well together, they're there to push and protect you. Have fun!

Why did I read Going and GoLang🙈

Well, may i ask why would you prefer going on a community trip booked via instagram pages? I means it’s literally 12 hrs from delhi..load up your car with friends and cut the crap!

I have been traveling solo and with strangers since I'm 21. I'm the skinny, unsmart, uncool, nerdy, serious guy with no friend. So this has been my way. Few suggestions (max applies to both gender, some applies to specific): 1. Never ever ever ever tell anyone this is your first solo trip. Anyone means anyone. 2. Don't share your travel location/plan with any stranger from time ahead. They can plan crime at your next stop. 3. Wear simple and conservative (particularly for women). Don't look rich, attractive. Sounds too dumb? It helps. You enjoy the trip, blend in the crowd as a nobody. Remember, if you are alone, enjoy beauty of the place. It is not the time for people to appreciate your beauty. 4. Don't fall for prostitution trap (suggestion for men): if unknown women become too friendly, be careful. Common way to cheat. Pimp saying you to "rent a girl" - DON'T. Simply don't. Ye sab karna hai to experienced dost ka help lo. 5. Inform your location, hotel name to at least one person. Keep mobile location on if you are traveling long and see if you are on the route. 6. Most important suggestion: Don't worry, just chill out. It is not a big deal to travel with strangers or alone.

Carry mace.

1) Carry limited in hand currency but remember to stash some safely apart from wallet. 2) Make sure that you update your location to at least 2 people so that people know where you are. 3) Singe you’ve been sheltered I would say be careful with what you eat and drink cause falling sick on a trip alone is a bad exp. 4) keep a power bank charged always. 5) keep a set of essential first aid 6) keep yourself open to new ideas, ideologies and opinions. Well good for you for taking the 1st trek, it would be a wonderful experience & trithan valley is nice. I dont use insta or SM so I can’t say for these jnsta based packages will be. But treks you can always book from indiahikes, trek the himalyas and thrillophilia. I have done 10+ and all from them. Never felt unsafe or had any difficulty at all. Enjoy your upcoming trek . And remember 20 aur 30s is the age when we can trek , so dont miss it

Initially you would be scared and anxious. But eventually either people will try to speak to you or if not you can always speak to people around you. Went for one such trek. The experience was good. Luckily another guy and both of us had similar interests so enjoyed talking and had a good company. Would recommend going. Good way to face your fear of going alone anf enjoying company of yourself
