I have also moved to Gin and prefer that; especially during summer months.

Unrelated but I don't like the taste of most alcoholic drinks. But I do like the buzz..
Isn't there something that tastes like icecream or coffee but still gets you drunk?

There are many, those drinks will have hell lot of sugar or syrup in them which makes the drink more harmful for your gut and health. Beer and whisky are acquired taste, slowly you will develop a kick out the taste. But I agree initially you won’t like it at all.

Am already paying enough taxes. Why would I pay more for an already high priced product?

Has anyone tried the newer Indian brands - Indri Rampur or Godawan? Would love to know a user's experience with these brands
Indri is good.
Rampur is so-so. Hyped but not worth the effort. Paul John Nirvana > Rampur.
Sasta stuff like Woodburn is also good on occasions.
