Sold Rivian Automobiles stock today at 44% profit

I took a leap of faith and invested a few thousand rupees in Rivian. Made an exit today when it rose by 30% and bought Robinhood and Salesforce. Was this a correct move given the stock was very volatile? Also, any tips on where to invest in the US Stock Market?
