Heard a similar story about Phablecare where founders and their right-hand people sold inventory to distributors (rumored to be their friend/family) in the name of bulk deals to show high GMV. Very poor governance.

This morning, ShareChat laid off twenty percent of it's entire staff. The laid off employees were locked out of their system and received the communication of their lay off in their personal email. This is the biggest layoff by ShareChat so far. Many of the features of the ShareChat and Moj app have been told to shut down and their entire team is fired. The employees are offered 45 days of severance pay, leave encashment, bonus and are allowed to keep their system with them.

Shopflo laid off 28% of the team today - still don’t understand how this company exists and is hoping to make any money.

Having no idea what to do next, they’re desperate to travel to US now to try and capture market there - reminder that this is a market with Fast and Bolt, both massively funded, shut down completely 🤡
