Demotivating by my lead
Hello all in my project whatever I'm doing I'm getting huge criticism from my lead everytime , everyone except him is very good with me. To be Frank , I am understanding and doing a lot's of stuff to impress him too. I have only 1.5 yrs of experience he is having 15+ yrs of experience but the way I'm pushing myself I'm happy , sometimes working 12-14 hrs a day. But whatever even small project related doubts also he is not bearing with me. Daily I'm going deep down mentally but cann't express this with anyone to my family nor with my colleagues.
Can anyone suggest what can I do , is this common in IT sector. This is first time I'm experiencing this I had interned at one of faang there i didn't faced like this everyone encourage s my idealogy and will corrects me if I'm wrong? Can you please give some motivation.
There are multiple things to it- 1- you lead has gone to the phase of being permanently pissed off with you for whatever xyz reason with you. 2- there are people in various at higher levels who have no reason to get pissed off and once they do, their grudge persists for a very long time. 3- you can never know the reasoning behind it. 4- talk only with the solutions, for clarity, reach out to someone else. 5- move to some other company once you have the job. Either you will fry your brains or will be kicked out sooner or later by that lead.
I am following point 4 reaching out other snrs, but final approval I needs from him . Again cycle continues.
I'm having all points to discuss with clarity, because of his agressiveness I'm unable to express too.
Change Job. If not ,maybe he is narcissist. Keep asking him that you are doing this, is it correct ,can you proceed? Before beginning a task.
See if it works. This is people pleasing which is not advisable as told look for other job, till then you can give a try.
Even before starting the task, if I'm discussing with him. He is cross questioning too much. Completely screwed up
Better to look for another job.
