Designers in India are undervalued
Being a designer in India often feels like - clients want premium work but pay peanuts, design is treated as an afterthought in most projects few companies truly value creativity, everyone wants designs to be delivered yesterday.
It’s sad. I’ve only had one employer who actually considered design as very important, paid well and gave us time.

Probably this happened after everyone realised how easy are the designs on Figma. You just have drag-drop and color the boxes.
This job was always meant to die.
You can say that design is relatively easier because effort is less. However, if you think UI design is what all of the design encompasses, I would suggest you to broaden your viewpoint about different aspects of design. All great products that you see have been intentionally designed. And, no good product can be good with excelling in just one aspect of software development, let's say well designed but poor performance, or lot of bugs. Talking about the job meant to die, I am not sure either. It could die, however, i think functions will merge. Designers who do design+, product manager, or design + frontend development. Or people who do all three with the help of AI. If anything frontend development is at greater risk.
Who knows what future holds, right ?
If there is a designer, who only knows how to move around boxes on figma and calls himself a designer. Then i think yeah, he will be replaced easily.
But if he is willing to adapt to new designs, like hardware etc. They might just survive. Afterall AI can only do designs that have already been done. And tbh.. most of the design profiles i see are copy paste and bit altered copies.
No body even tries 3D or autoCAD stuff.
Shadi krlo. Sari zindagi uske dill pe apne ungliyo se design bnana☺️😁 (after work)
He/she will value you, guaranteed more than your boss
True, also if they are hiring they want you to be able to all types of design and their offered salary will be 15-20k, also I’ve seen few openings of internship where they want their potential intern to have experience wtf man, isn’t internship for experience?? they just want a slave who they’ll work like a donkey and get it done for dirt cheap!
