Notice period? Bro these guys probably have binding non-competes to not join a competitor for 12-36 months. Probably can bypass those if the startup didn't have proper legal wording in place.

Apparently he is woke and saw a comment from one of the engineers working on Gemini on twitter saying that Microsoft advances on AI will go back a few years . Many people who worked with him seem to have a not so favourable opinion of him on twitter . It seems the deal was mainly done for the compute power that he will be bringing
