Drinking problem
Does anyone have some Idea on how to get hold of the drinking addiction? I drink 3-4 times a week (Alternative days). I have reduced the quantity of alcohol from 360ml couple of years back to 180ml now per sitting. But I am unable to reduce the frequency. I am a person with a weaker will power. Also, recently I have been diagnosed with Diabetes.

Acknowledging that you have a problem is the first step, and what you did already makes your likelihood of complete recovery much much higher. The key step is to include other people and trust them to hold you accountable, preferably a non-judgemental person that you drink with.

Reducing the quantity is a great thing. With all drugs our tolerance only tends to increase, which our body feels the need to keep up with. Try to reduce it further by restricting access. Keep less money in your wallet/UPI account, and limit how much you spend on alcohol. Try not to be too harsh on yourself if you relapse a little.

Maybe talk to a psychiatrist? Feeling like you need alcohol is a sign that there is a chemical imbalance, which you can help with prescribed drugs under the supervision of a medical professional. Try to think of alcohol and psych drugs as the same kind of substances, just that one is safer for you and more regulated by the government.
This was very helpful! Big thanks!
You're welcome, but please do talk to someone with de-addiction expertise too! There's no harm in taking it more seriously than it needs to be taken
I know you will find a solution one day but add this in your journey: Start going temple at least on Saturday and commit one good thing you want to follow for that week.
Hey, the more I think about it, it makes more sense. I think I am gonna do it! Thanks buddy!
